BMW M10 Engine For Sale Australia

I have a BMW M10 engine (unassembled) for sale. The block and head have already been prepared for assembly (images available). The package comprises of existing and new parts and a full list will be published on the website shortly together with images.

This engine ran in a 2002 competition car in Group Nc for many years and it proved to be a reliable, robust motor with little maintenance required. It is a relatively low compression unit (in the vicinity of 9:1 from memory) and when last built developed in the vicinity of 92Kw at the rear wheels of the 2002. Dyno sheets are available. Ideally I’d like to sell it as a total package rather than bit-by-bit. The engine was removed while still in good running order and later disassembled for a ‘refresh’ rebuild.
i) Cylinder head – the cylinder head has been crack-tested. The camshaft is a ‘custom grind’ by Wade camshafts. Spec. sheet is available. No new components were used in the assembly of the cylinder head i.e. valves, springs etc. were all from the existing motor that was disassembled. A set of new head bolts is supplied. A valve-train repair kit is supplied.
ii) The block – cylinders have been honed and not much else was required for the rebuild. No bearings are supplied.
iii) Crankshaft – a used, standard size crack-tested and linished unit will be supplied. Images to follow.
iv) Pistons –  are the ones (‘piano-top’ with custom recess) that were used in the existing motor that was disassembled. A set of new standard rings is supplied. Also supplied is a set of new gudgeon pins.
v) Connecting rods – these are OEM BMW con-rods and are from the existing motor that was disassembled. No bearings are supplied and only existing, used ‘rod bolts are supplied.
vi) Various: a) Fly wheel, alternator, starter motor, water pump, oil filter adapter and standard sump are all supplied. b) Does not come with inlet manifold, headers, carburettors or radiator.

Please email me in the first instance if at all interested: whatsinyourpaddock@gmail.com (Definitely Australia only; local pick-up in Ballarat or can deliver to Melbourne on request). Images and parts list can be viewed at: http://www.whatsinyourpaddock.com.au/ads/637

Opel Kapitan 1951 For Sale

This model has recently been posted on the website. It looks in good condition for its age and appears to be ‘unmolested’. Being from Johannesburg (and depending on how long it has been there) may be relatively rust free given the dry nature of the climate in that part of South Africa. May just be worthwhile a look.

Alfa Romeo Tipo33 Stradale 1967 – 1969

If you are fortunate enough to own one the 18 (yes one eight) that were built, I think you’ll be the envy of most ‘Alfesti’ as well as a miscellany of  other make ‘tragics’.  It appears that this model was built by Alfa Romeo primarily for motorsport competition and achieved immediate success, eventually winning a manufacrurers’ championship with it. The wheelbase of the road-going version was slightly longer and the body design by Franco Scaglione (ex Bertone), simply stunning! Other designers’ versions of the same model never quite hit the mark that Scalione’s did. Powered by a 230 bhp V8 unit through a six speed transmission, propelled this beauty to an estimated top speed of 259 k/h.
